TENTH AND FINAL ANNUAL JOSHUA PLAISTED BOOK OF DREAMS 5K ROADRACE
JOSHUA'S BOOK OF DREAMS RACE REGISTRATION FORM 5K Road Race This 5K race through scenic York Village and York Harbor is held on Saturday, April 18th at 10:00 am at the Village Elementary School. “Joshua’s Book of Dreams” is a program that benefits children throughout the state of Maine whose families do not have the resources to obtain books. You are invited to bring a new or gently used book for the book box. As with all of our races, mile markers, splits, water, police traffic control, ambulance, professional timing and professional announcing will be offered. T-shirts to the first 100 overall entrants. Applications are available at the office or at our website www.yorkmaine.org where there’s also a link for on-line registration. EVENT DATE: Saturday, April 17th, 2010 COST: $15.00 Pre-registration / $20.00 Race Day START LOACATION: Village Elementary School FINISH LOCATION: Town Hall REGISTRATION OPENS: 9:00am – closes 9:45am FIFTH ANNUAL DRAGON SLAYER 6K ROAD RACE This 6k is a beautiful run to be held on Sunday, May 16, 2010 that begins at York High School and makes its way along the beach and past the scenic Nubble Lighthouse ending at Short Sands Beach. Transportation will be provided, at the end of the race, from Short Sands Park back to York High School. All race proceeds will go to the American Liver foundation to help fund research for a cure for Hepatitis C. T-shirts to the first 150 entrants. THIRTY-FIRST ANNUAL FOUR ON THE 4TH
FOUR ON THE 4TH REGISTRATION FORM Sponsored by the York Rotary Club, the USATF certified four-mile course has become one of the most popular races in the seacoast area. The scenic York beaches are surely an attraction along with free T-shirts to the first 500 overall entrants. The 4th of July is traditionally a family day and the “4 on the Fourth” road race offers a festive family atmosphere to running families and spectators. Refreshments will be available following the race. Check-in and registration will open at the starting line at 6:00 a.m. at the York High School, Long Sands Road. The gun will fire at 8:00 am. There will be a $100 cash prize awarded to each of the overall male and female winners. A one mile Fun Run will immediately follow this run. ENTRY FEES: Pre-registration $15.00 / Race Day $20.00 CHECK IN AND REGISTRATION OPENS AT 6:00 AM ON RACE DAY

YORK DAYS ROAD RACE REGISTRATION FORM The Parks and Recreation Department will once again sponsor this 5K York Days Road Race to be held Sunday, August 1st at 8:00 am at York High School, Long Sands Road, York, ME. The race offers mile markers, water, professional chip timing, prizes, raffles, police and ambulance. Free T-shirts will be given to the first 200 overall registrants. This race will be immediately followed by a one-mile fun run ($5.00) per person. Kick off the week- long York Days Celebration with this scenic race. Proceeds from this race benefit York Parks and Recreation Department Youth Programs. This race is one of 8 races in this year’s Seacoast Road Race Series. TURKEY TROT ROAD RACE REGISTRATION FORM York Rotary presents the Annual Turkey Trot 5k USTAF certified road race. The race will be held Saturday, November 29th at Village Elementary School. Check-in and registration begins at 9:30 am, and the race begins at 11:00 am. T-shirts will be awarded to the first 100 registrants and prizes will be awarded to all division winners. Race includes water, snacks, mile markers, splits, professional timing, police and ambulance.
